In recent years people have been able to bypass the great firewall by using RSS feeds. China has recently blocked all rss feeds rather than blocking just certain ones. I am not quite sure why the government spends as much time as they do trying to protect their residents. All they are doing is creating smarter users.
While growing up the more restrictions that were put on me the more I learned how to get around them. The tools to protect people can be bypassed, it just is a matter of determination. Instead the users should be taught how to protect themself whatever is trying to be blocked.
