Network Solutions Renewal Price

Does anyone still fall for the Network Solutions scam anymore? I mean, $34.99 for a single domain registration for one year? The most you will ever spend at godaddy is $9.99 and that’s without any discounts.

This is the first time a renewal has came up on a domain in my current job. I can say for a fact that we will be moving to another registrar before paying another penny to Network Solutions.

Now when you start to type in a URL it will search for everything you’ve ever done that resembles the text you type in. For those of us who are constantly typing in URLs this is just annoying. Vista Update - Upgrading to XP

After about four days of using Vista for gaming I decided to switch back to XP. The drivers for my graphics card decided to crap out whenever the settings would change. This means that every time I started a game odd stuff would happen.

One thing that I thought would be better in Vista is the performance of higher end games, namely Crysis. This game pushes every computer to the limits today. With directX 10 I was under the assumption that it would perform better, I was wrong. I get better performance with XP than I ever did with Vista. Continue Reading »

Living Without TV

Television today is becoming obsolete as there are just better methods to receive programming than via cable or satellite. About six months ago I decided to ditch my TV and get everything over the internet.

When I first started out the first thing I did was download all of my favorite shows via not so legal methods, mainly torrents. I quickly found this method to be annoying and went to find a better method. For some shows that better method was the iTunes music store. This provided the shows with the least amount of work.
