Choosing a Server Distro
When someone asks what is the best Linux distribution out there it is very hard to answer. The reason is everyone has different opinions and almost anyone you ask will give you a different answer. This is usually due to the person’s experiences with a certain distro.
If you have never ran Linux before, I would suggest running it at least a week prior to paying for any type of server you have to manage. A Movement to Block Firefox?
Over the last few months I’ve started to hear rumblings about people blocking Firefox. The main source of issue comes from a site whyfirefoxisblocked.com. The site explains how to block Firefox and tries to give some valid reason for doing so.
The main reason the site offers to block Firefox is due to one extension, adblock. This extension allows you to block any content on the site that you wish, mainly ads. RAM, What a Wonderful Thing
When you’ve been running OS X with a single gig of ram for the entire time you’ve ran the operating system you start to believe that things are just inevitably slow. Well, I finally went out and got two extra gigs of ram for my laptop, giving it a total of three gigs. Holy flying hippos this computer is fast. Apple Restricting iPhone and now iPod Touch… What’s Next?
The last few months Apple has releaed quite a few new gadgets. Most notably is the iPhone and now the iPod Touch. These two devices are very similar in the function of the screen is the main control and both ran on a slimmed down version of OS X.
The problem lies in the fact that they’ve limited the functionality of each of these devices. At this point in time you are unable to create third party applications without hacking the device. People state that Apple does not want to allow third party due to a deal with AT&T. The question is then; why does every other smart phone on the market allow third party applications?
