In an un-Apple like fashion they have released an updated version of Safari rather quickly. The description in the software updater:
Safari Beta 3.0.1 for Windows is recommended for all users and improves its security.
Wow, this means they admit Safari on Windows was insecure. I believe this is the fastest response for a security hole on a piece of Apple software I have seen. I really hope that this sets the standard for Apple fixing bugs in the future.
I look forward to seeing if Apple is able to keep up this kind of pace. I would love to see less than a week turn around for security bugs of this nature.
